Now only minimal radiation and an OPG shows the actual tooth roots and location.
An orthopantomogram (OPG), also known as an "orthopantogram" or "panorex", is a panoramic scanning dental X-ray of the upper and lower jaw. It shows a two-dimensional view of a half-circle from ear to ear. This allows us to see the roots, wisdom teeth, sinuses.
We take only digital x-rays as the radiation dose is much lower than conventional "wet films".Digital also means we instantly see the x-ray on a monitor and show you what is going on. We are also able to email you, or any specialist, copies of the x-rays.
Our OPG is digital and produced far less radiation than previous devices, and is quick and simple. The OPG is carried out in the clinic and only takes a few minutes.
